§01 Our history
In January 1999, the founding members of Sovereign Consulting Inc. pursued a shared vision of a new environmental consulting firm where financial strength, dedication to clients, and commitment to employees created a winning company.
A group of engineers, scientists, and construction managers had collaborated on environmental solutions for over a decade before establishing the firm. Their goal involved fostering a corporate culture emphasising teamwork, client commitment, and mutual respect — to become the best place to work for the best people in the environmental industry.
Within a decade the organisation expanded tenfold, without acquisitions or mergers. An initial team of 17 environmental professionals in a single location grew to a national practice spanning 12 states.
